we celebrated ti's bday, gambled, walked the strip, gambled, went swimming, ate buffet, ate steak n eggs, lagged, drew attention, got drinks, got carded by the dozens, didn't get a whole lot done, but had fun anyway...
a few highlights: ppl won a lot of money, we had to force david to put his shirt back on just so we could get IN the club, bryan got us kicked out of the club, some ppl saw shaq, some ppl saw john cho, peter got molested, sherry danced for the bouncers, david won a life size homer on his second toss, we spent half an hour trying to fit homer in a car, we lost jlee, jlee won $600 cuz we left him, some ppl got stuck in 7 hour traffic on the way home, everyone now knows what a chinese motorcycle is, and ti's old.
Interstate 5: leaving the valley in 2 weeks
| it's suddenly august. august means that school starts in a lil over a month. ONE MONTH! so i had to settled on an apartment, pack up half my room, and pretty much schedule the rest of my summer down to the last day. so sad. i know all you in the club will secretly miss me the most. hehe.
my month-long absence has left pearl very bummy. but yes, china & australia were SO great, and i totally regret not bringing friends along now. at least we ran into a few over there and made others, heh. it was super fun. pictures of the trip are posted on fotki for your curiosity, tho mark thinks they suck. eh, my bad...
pirates of the caribbean had a casting call for hideously unattractive types (and asians) that we all went to. guess how many of us got called? hahaha. anyway, life is a-okay. i had korean bbq 3 days in a row. i bowled over 100 while buzzed last nite, nearly tripling my "average" of 30. i dragged eugene along for a useless trip to the mall today only to get a free frap outa him. my stupid car actaully made me smile just a lil when i squeezed into this tiny spot outside of church. hehehe... mmm... ok now i'm rambling. forgive me.
| hi ya'll! i know how you love my new background and that it makes everything soOOo easy to read... <cough> but this xanga is for MY benefit, not yours hahaha. anyway, aren't the pearls cool? heh, i like the pearls.
so, time to update on my not-so-productive life. um... well, i'm off to CHINA and then AUSTRALIA in 5 days! i'm pretty excited to be meeting some pandas and kangaroos in the near future ok... no but really, i've been longing to step away from my bubble, my valley, my friends a bit recently and just experience how beautiful the rest of the world is. you know... learn their history, view their culture, walk in their midst... and all that shizzle. haha.
anyway... back in may, we celebrated runae's bday w/ some good 'ole bbq and drinks (drinks being the culprit here). good times!

then i made a trip up to SF last week to look at some apartments w/ my future roomies... and gained me a lil school pride along the way this place is great. it's bustling, it's smart, it's pretty. so, i didn't find a place to live as planned... but yea. here's a view of school from the top of strawberry hill in golden gate park and a pic of my favorite room in the school library.

besides seein norcal ppp, also got to meet up w/ some old berkeley buds...

on saturday, got the whole group together (for the most part) to witness AYOO's and JLEE's graduations at ucla. we screamed our heads off and all got soar throats... only to be extremely well fed throughout the day these guys are what i love about the valley.

yesterday... visited magic mountain for the first time in a loooonng time. got caught up on all the new rides and re-lived some of the classics. we ran into pepe-le-pew and wile e. coyote... and then got cartoonified as well! we had the announcer of washbuckler lead everyone over the speaker in singing happy bithrday to eugene at the end of the day, andy got me a HOMER. i had been eyeing homer all day long. he (that would be andy) is the bestest.

yea ok... that was long. MY BAD. i need to go pack.
| SPRING BREAK: sometimes when i'm driving home past 2am and the streets are dark and empty, a bunnie will cross in front of me. sometimes when i'm getting the mail and i decide to take a shortcut through the grass, i'll step on bunnie poop. you know it's spring time when there are bunnies just about EVERYWHERE.

i'm telling you, they're CRAZY! anyway, i had to work for a good chunk of spring break, but it was... great. ppp threw a lil party and we got to hang out a lot... mostly either at borders or someone's house... mostly channel flipping or poker. yeh, there's not much to choose from in the valley... haha

but sometimes we choose to drive out a lil too. went clubbing and got 1/2 off korean bbq. yeaaaah.

went ALL the way out to MP for a couple reunion dinners (and really good cheap food). one was an old-school churchie reunion with the class of 2000 (mostly) and even one of our original sponsors! we're getting so folgie. haha. also got to see this berkeley foo and see how citywalk has changed.

so i made a decision to leave the coolness that is L.A. and move back up to the bay area after this summer. kinda scary but kinda exciting too i guess. i'm going to miss a lot of things. this has been a happy year...

but cheers to a pretty city!
